FREE "Lessons"

Just yesterday i was contemplating if i should go to the range as I had some free time in the evening, had a long though about it and decided Nah....don't think that was a good idea as I wasn't in the mood to socialize and I didn't feel like to talking to anyone. Now you would think why would I had made such a comment.. reason being i had some flash backs during the time where i used to spend most of my days at the driving range practising my swing..back then i believed in the theory of muscle memory, in fact i still do believe it until today just that i'm bit lazy now hahaha..i still remember how my body used to ache the next morning when i wake up after spending a couple of hours hitting balls at the range..man those were the days!! My flashbacks took me a trip down memory lane..i'm sure you ladies had experienced this at some point in time when you're at the range :p u know when your minding your own biz and hitting your golf balls at your own bay, up comes this guy or uncle or whoever la ( 99.9% is mostly guys)comes up to you or probably sits at the bench at your bay and starts commenting on your swing...Sounds familiar??? well those are the moments that i meant "Free Lessons" I use to get that alot when i frequented the range, it really annoys me at times and I will say to myself quietly at times, just let them say what they want and they will go away..but hell NO, some of these chaps are really persistent, some of them even think that they are born to teach hahaha yes...humour me man! i knew some of these guys and man they cant even break their 90's & yet here they are teaching me how to swing & mind you stepping up into my comfort zone with a club in the hand and trying to show me how to swing & asking to me look at how they swing...my my...what a joke?? at first i was being polite so i just listened but after a couple of weeks of visits to the range i got annoyed at the various egoistic men's' who think they are god's give to golf who tries to give me free lessons & advice.. I ignored them and let them say whatever they wanted & not letting them affect my practice time..i even said thanks but no thanks politely to those whom i know abit more saying to them that I was working on something with my personal coach & i know what I'm doing. well some of them got the hint and walk away but there were some who doesn't get it and still continues to be thick skin...but my last straw came when this guys walked up to me and commented on swing and I didnt knew him tat well except the occasional moments i saw him at the range.. He was commenting and telling me stuff which obviously i wasn't listening & following as i wasn't interested and i totally ignored him..until he came to my back as I was taking my back swing and used the back of his driver and started poking the back of my legs and saying that my knees were straightening as i was taking my back swing..man was I mad. I stopped turn to look at him, raised my eyebrow at him and asked him what does he think he is doing??? to cut the long story short...I gave him a piece of my mind and some unpleasant exchanges, just lets say it was quite a scene at the range and it attracted some attention of other fellow golfer whom I knew..they all came over to join in the "fun". At the end what derived from what happen at the range was a challenge at the golf course!!!! Between me & that guy who was trying to teach me how to swing...hahahaha i got so mad tat I told him "if you want to comment & teach me how to swing..beat me at the golf course first!" so there it went...i dared him & out of ego bcoz of so many witnesses he had to accept my challenge and a date was set for that game. We both had a week to practice before we had our challenge with two other witnesses who joined us & guess what?? I beat the shit out of him...HAHAHHA so in the end guess who got his "free lessons"?? guess its him at the end....
So this is what i mean when we ladies head to the range...there is always some egoistic men who thinks that just becoz we are the "weaker" sex, our golf is weaker or somehow they think that we need their help or their advice..What i'm trying to tell these men's' are that, "please mind your own business and do what you had come to the range to do so" We ladies do not need your help unless we ask for it....
